Dear Friends,
September is a time when many of you are starting back to school, and some of you may be starting new jobs or new projects. There are always challenges to face with these new beginnings. I would like to encourage you all to look at them as opportunities to learn and grow. The same is true with English. We have articles on a wide variety of topics written at different levels to help you with the challenge of learning English.
Speaking of challenges, this month features the 2016 Paralympics where people with disabilities compete in Olympic sports. Find out all about the Paralympics and some of the competing athletes in our sports article.
What would you say if you could eat your lunch and then eat the spoon that you ate your lunch with? A new environmentally friendly company in India called Bakeys makes that possible. Read all about them in our environment article. Another company in the Philippines is making bicycles out of bamboo. Find out about this innovative new form of transportation in
our trends article. These are just a few of the exciting topics waiting for you inside the magazine this month. We hope you learn some English and some new information at the same time.
